District 9 is not alone…

By now most of you have seen District 9. Yes it is a great movie but it came from very humble beginnings..
Here is the original short film that the movie is based off “Alive in Joburg
I also found this short film a few months ago “What’s in the Box?” apparently a test film for a future project. Has the same feel as District 9 and Alive in Joburg, and I’ve read that it was done on a budget of $200
So what do you think…? Any correlations?
