New Years Eve Eve in the City Part 1…
Hey there,
If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter then you have heard all this already, but we will roll through it once more.
I was recently given the opportunity to walk the streets of New York City… at its most traveled time of the year. The day before the big show. Nearly every photo was taken as I walked or was pushed around.
We took the Amtrak line out of the 30th Street Station in Philly. I have been here before and again I was mesmerized by the height and the gold tones of this grand hall
On the way I successfully lost consecutive games of blackjack and hold’em. In addition to this striking embarrassment, I decided I wanted something from the Cafe car on the train. So I made my way through the cars, as I got nearer and nearer the end of the train I started to realize that this Cafe may be all but a imagination. I turned to a conducter and he assured me that my trek was in vain. I turned and began to walk past the same people who were questioning my sanity on the first pass. My chagrin was multiplied yet again…
We arrived at the Penn Station and made our way down to the Liberty Ferrys.
I have never been in NY and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty and grit of the streets and of the people.
…. I will finish up the story next week.
Here is some other snapshots from the day

Looks cool, you should come give Chi-town a try. The South Side will offer plenty of “grit” and “beauty” for ya…
