The First Shot
Hey,
Just completed the final (i think) printing of the wedding photos I have been working on. This is the first wedding shoot I’ve been involved in. I have only one other group session under my belt, so I found myself feeling very green. When you take photos of alley ways and beaches you begin to take for granted the stillness and predictability that they possess. Not so at a wedding… Some things were still and these things I will share with you.
This all leads to the next st….. point. The point of no return. After thinking this would be my last foray into life situation shooting, I got the card. A card with a name and a number. One of the clerks at the print shop gave a man assurance that he would find him a photographer. I didn’t realize that I was that assurance as I walked into the store today, but I was… (destiny?). I talked to the man and nailed down the details for the shoot. I hung up the phone and realized that I have no idea what a Bar Mitzvah is. I will be delving into these mystery’s this weekend.
Till then.. here is some of the recent photography pouring out of the creative mind of a southern new jersey bourgeois boy.
